Poetry: Haiku

By: Jennifer Fiorile

Birds sing before dawn.
I, who am still awake, hear
their call for the sun.

You stand like your dad.

You hate to hear that, but it's

all I know of him.

——————————

I try to see things

through the eyes of a tourist,

to remember newness.
