Poetry: Her Voice Within Me

By: Felicity Edwards

Gutsy.

Flawed.

Captivating.

Inevitable.

She walked with purpose.

And burnt gloriously in the flame of her own belonging.

She owed nothing to no one.

And danced to the beat of her own drum.

She lay in the small quiet of her own conviction.

And felt like an imposter no more.

The game was always rigged.

But she was an unstoppable force.
