Poetry: I Found Myself Here

By: Caris Jordana

Somehow I find myself here,

In a comfortable space of derelict land,

A field of my own long green doubt.

The ironic texture of my boundless state

of contemplation,

Paired curiously with the reality of my holy healing. I stood confused in a room

that someone turned a lamp on in.

The bittersweet sour of my salted tears,

tumbling down the cheeks, an electrified smile, a beam of conjecture, a stone of truth.

A stomach that knots in glee,

how did I finally find myself here.
